We give you the possibility to integrate polls from Pollunity into your Windows Sidebar or to show them on your website or your blog.
Vista Gadget
In the Zip file attached below there is a file named "pollunity.gadget". You just have to double click on this file and Vista will ask you to install the gadget.
By default the poll changes every 5 minutes.
However you can control this behaviour if you open the file "pollunity.htm" in the folder "pollunity.gadget". Here you can see the settings for the time after which a poll will change. The duration have to be set in seconds. This is the reason why the value next to "pollunity_rotate_sec" is 300 (= 5 minutes).
You can increase this value if the poll changes too often.

Web Widget
To emphasize topics on your website or blog you can include polls from Pollunity. This has the advantage that your visitors will be introduced in your website because they can vote with just one click without leaving your website.
To integrate the widget you only have to paste the following HTML source into your website:

For example, if you write a blog entry about a special topic and you can find a similar poll on Pollunity then you can change the value next to "pollunity_poll_id" that always one defined poll will be shown. You get this value next to "id" from the url of the poll.

http://pollunity.com/poll/id11/Star_Trek_vs_Star_Wars.html
The value of this poll is 11:
pollunity_poll_id = 11;
When you set the value to "-1", the newest poll at Pollunity will be shown.
With "pollunity_poll_size" you can chose 2 sizes of the widget. The value 'small' generates a widget with the size 170 x 250 pixels and 'big' one with 245 x 345 pixels.
After that your visitors will see the the poll and can vote with just one click.
Wordpress Plugin
If you use the Wordpress Blog Software you can download a plugin for it. It will show the current poll in your Wordpress sidebar.
Requirements:
Wordpress 2.2 or higher
If your version is older you need the plugin for the dynamic sidebars
Installation:
To install the plugin just upload the php file in the plugin directory: \wp-content\plugins\
Then go to your administration panel and click on "plugins". If the upload was successful you can see the Pollunity plugin and you have to activate it.
Because it is a widget you have to click on the "Designs - Widget" section and now you should see the Pollunity widget there. Add it to the sidebar you want.
If it's the first time you use widgets in Wordpress make sure to add the following widgets, too. So youl'll have e.g. the administration links again in your sidebar: "Pages", "Last Comments", "Meta".
You can change the order of the widgets by dragging the items on the right side. Don't forget to apply your changes.
